Frequently asked questions

Yes. You must be signed in to browse packages, pay, and watch videos.

• If you are new, use Register in the top menu to create a login. You will need to confirm your email address before you can sign in.
• If you already use the ISDS Members Portal, you may be signed in here automatically when you open streaming from the Trials Streaming card on the portal home page (single sign-on).
• Otherwise, use Login with the email and password for this site.
• For security, you may be asked to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) on first sign-in before you can buy or watch.

Your login must be linked to your ISDS contact record so purchases attach to the correct person and appear in View Trials. If you have paid but see no trials, contact the society office — your account may not be linked to your contact yet.

A package is a product that gives you streaming access to a set of trials — for example the latest national trial for your country, an international trial, or a world trial. Each package has a name, a price, and a list of trials included shown on the package page and in your basket before you pay.

On Buy Trials you will see the current packages available to purchase — typically the latest world trial, international trial, and national trial for each country group. Open a package to read what is included and the price that applies to you (see member pricing below).

The package page shows whether you already own the package, whether it is in your basket, or whether a payment is still processing, so you know before you try to buy again.

Choose the package that matches the trial you want to watch. If you are unsure which national or international event you need, check the trial name and year on the package details or on the society website.

ISDS members in good standing (current membership paid) usually pay a member price. Everyone else pays the non-member price for the same package.

The site works out which price applies from your contact record—or non-member pricing if you have no linked contact—when you add items to the basket or checkout. You do not need to select the price yourself. If you believe you should receive member pricing but do not, check that your membership is current with the society, contact the office, or log into My ISDS so the member rate is securely applied.

1. Go to Buy Trials and open the package you want.
2. Add it to your basket (the basket icon in the menu shows how many items you have).
3. Open Basket, check the package name, price, and list of trials, then click Proceed to checkout.
4. Complete payment on the secure payment page using your debit or credit card (processed by Stripe).
5. When payment succeeds, you will see a confirmation screen with your order summary and links to View Trials.

You cannot buy the same package twice. If you already own it, the site will show that it is already purchased. If a payment is still being processed, you may need to wait before buying again.

Card payments are handled by Stripe. This site does not store your full card number. You enter payment details on the checkout page or Stripe’s secure form.

After Stripe reports a successful payment, you are taken to a Payment successful page. Your access is then confirmed in our system — this usually happens within a minute, but can occasionally take a little longer.

Open View Trials. You will only see trials included in packages you have paid for (plus any trials your account has been granted access to by the society).

Finding a session

• Open Advanced Search on the library page to filter by trial year and trial name. The trial list narrows when you pick a year.
• Only session tiles for trials you have paid for are shown. Each tile is one filmed session (for example morning or afternoon).
• Click Reset to clear filters and show everything you can access again.

Finding a specific run

To jump straight to a dog’s run, use Advanced Search on View Trials and fill in one or both of:

• ISDS Dog No — enter the dog’s full ISDS registration number (exact match).
• Handler — enter part of the handler’s first or last name. If you use several words, each word must match somewhere in the handler or contact name. You can also enter a numeric contact or member number if you know it.

The library updates as you type. Only sessions that include a matching run are shown. On each matching tile you will see the run number, dog number, and a video time — click the tile to open the player; playback should start at that run when timings have been published.

On the video page, expand Show all runs under a session to see every run listed with handler and dog names. Use the play button beside a run to seek to that point in the recording.

Watching

Click a session tile to open the video page. Each tile is one filmed session (an asset); a trial may have several tiles (for example morning and afternoon). Sessions that are broadcasting live show a red Live badge on the tile.

The main player shows the recording (hosted via Vimeo). Below the player you may see session details, a list of runs, and seek buttons to jump to a run’s position in the video when run times have been published. On larger screens you may also see a strip of other sessions from the same trial so you can switch without going back to the library. Use fullscreen on the player if your browser or device supports it.

Yes. The site is designed to work in modern browsers on desktop, tablet, and mobile. You need a stable internet connection for streaming. For the best experience on a small screen, rotate to landscape when watching a full session.

For security, your sign-in session ends after a period of inactivity (about 5 hours without activity on the site). If you are signed out, sign in again; any completed purchases remain on your account.

Your basket is stored for your current browser session. If you sign out, use a different browser, or clear cookies, basket contents may be lost — add packages again before checkout.

I paid but View Trials is empty

Wait one or two minutes and refresh. If trials still do not appear, check that you are signed in with the same account you used to pay, and contact the society office with your payment confirmation.

I cannot add a package to the basket

You may already own that package, or a previous payment may still be processing. Open the package page to see its status, or try again later.

Payment failed or was cancelled

Return to your basket and proceed to checkout again. A failed attempt does not give access; only a successful payment does.

The video will not play

Check your internet connection, try another browser, and disable strict ad blockers on this site. Some corporate networks block video streaming.

I cannot find my dog’s run

Open Advanced Search on View Trials. Enter the dog’s full ISDS number in ISDS Dog No, or the handler’s name in Handler (you can combine both with trial year and trial name). Check the ISDS number is correct and that you own the package for that trial. If no tiles appear, the run may not be published yet or timings may still be processing. Click Reset and try again with fewer filters.
